Day School for Dogs

Day School is our small-group enrichment and training program for dogs who enjoy learning, playing, and spending time with dog friends in a structured, supportive environment.

Dogs spend their day participating in supervised social time, enrichment activities, cooperative care exercises, training games, and rest periods. Every activity is designed to support good manners, build confidence, strengthen life skills, and provide appropriate mental and physical enrichment.

Unlike traditional daycare, Day School focuses on small-group learning, with a maximum of four dogs per three-hour session. Our emphasis on safety and individualized attention allows us to tailor activities to each dog’s personality, skills, and comfort level.

Many dogs find traditional daycare overstimulating. Our shorter, structured sessions provide the right balance of learning, enrichment, play, and rest without overwhelming students.

We also believe dogs should have choice. Students are free to opt in or out of activities, including field trips with our Assistant Pawfessor, helping create a positive, confidence-building experience for every dog.

Our goal is to help dogs practice real-world skills while having fun in a safe, thoughtfully managed environment.

Our school is conveniently located in Pittsburgh’s East End (15206), near Whole Foods, The Fresh Market, and AAA, making drop-off and pick-up easy for many East End families.

Summer Session is our seasonal Day School program featuring small class sizes, individualized attention, enrichment activities, training games, cooperative care practice, supervised social time, and exciting field trips.

Students may enjoy adventures to pet-friendly businesses, neighborhood walks, training outings, and carefully selected enrichment experiences designed to build confidence and real-world skills.

Space is limited, and enrollment begins with a student interview.
