Private Lesson Dog Training
Problem solving based one-on-one training either in your home or in our Schoolhouse for your dog and you! Some behaviors are best addressed in private settings such as potty training, proper greetings for when guests arrive, or safe interactions with children and dogs. Or, you may feel more confident with one-on-one guidance in the privacy of your home. We are here to help! These sessions are with the trainer, the dog, and the whole family to ensure everyone is on the same page. This is a great option if you have small children or multiple family members who would benefit from a dedicated session with the trainer.

Step 2: “The Spoonful of Sugar Plan” (In-Person Collaboration)
An in-person session that gives the trainer the opportunity to get to know you, your family, your specific living situation, and your dog; to gain a thorough understanding of your goals; and to formulate a training plan. Then we suggest a training package that will best suit your needs.
$250 for 1.5 hours (discount available for current Merry Puppins clients)
Step 3: “The Spoonful of Sugar Method” (Training Plan)
We offer multi-lesson training packages (each training lesson is 1 hour).
Single Private Training Session – $125
3 Private Session Package – $325
5 Private Session Package – $525
7 Private Session Package – $725
9 Private Session Package – $925

Why do I need A Spoonful of Sugar Chat (virtual consultation) before I can start working with a trainer?
A Spoonful of Sugar Chat allows our trainers to assess your specific needs and our ability to address those needs. If we determine that your training needs exceed our limits (types of training cases we can take on due to time, resources, or your location) we will happily refer you to one of our referral partner trainers. It also gives you a low cost option to meet us and determine if our training methods are right for you.
Do I have to be present for Private Lesson Training?
Yes! The reality is we are Dog Owner Trainers meaning we are there to teach you and your dog how to effectively communicate with each other.
If I sign up for Private Lesson Training, how long will it take to reach my goals?
It depends! Private Lesson Training Package lessons are usually scheduled about once a week to give you time to practice in between lessons with the trainer. However, we understand life gets busy so we work with you to find a schedule that works for everyone but still allows you to make progress toward your goal in a reasonable amount of time.
